My work at the Community Foundation for Northeast Florida
I started at the Community Foundation as an intern and worked my way up to Communications Associate. I helped turn community impact into stories worth telling. From producing the podcast to writing and editing content across web, social, and press channels, my work focuses on translating the Foundation's initiatives into messaging that connects with the people they serve and the donors who make that work possible.
I currently work as a consultant to edit their podcast and other videos for their socials.
Prize for Civic Engagement Award Video
My favorite project I created at the Foundation just so happens to be the most complicated. This is an award video I created to honor the winner of the Prize for Civic Engagement, Delores Barr Weaver. I worked closely with Foundation staff and community leaders to identify the stories that best represented her and the impact she has had on the Northeast Florida community. The video was shown at the Foundation's 60th anniversary celebration.
Podcast editing and producing
As a producer for the podcast Forever Forward, I help shape episodes that blend interviews with community members and nonprofit leaders, storytelling segments on local impact, and updates on Foundation initiatives that are all aimed at connecting listeners more closely with the work happening in Northeast Florida.
Below are some short form videos posted to Instagram and Facebook to tease the upcoming episodes.

Both of these videos are award videos for artists in the Northeast Florida community. I loved getting to showcase these stories, because I loved getting to tell the stories that got very deserving people to where they are now.
These two are more examples of videos I was able to turn a large story with a lot of moving parts into a cohesive narrative.
